Abstract

North Carolina’s climate is changing. The state is warming, precipitation events are becoming more extreme, and the ocean is rising. This is a different state than it was 30 years ago, and in the future it will be a different state than it is today. The impacts of climate change will touch every corner of North Carolina, and every citizen will be affected...some more than others. What can we expect? And do we still have time to change the course? Check out this conversation with our State Climatologist Kathie Dello, Ph.D.

Kathie Dello is the State Climatologist of North Carolina and the Director of the State Climate Office at NC State. She has a Ph.D. in environmental science from Oregon State University, and a master's in geography and a bachelor's in atmospheric science from the State University of New York at Albany.
