The microbial communities around us hold great potential, and we can now uncover their genetic sequences and powers!

Carlos C. Goller, Ph.D., is an associate teaching professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and teaches in the Biotechnology Program (BIT) at NC State. His research interests include molecular microbiology, metagenomics, epidemiology, history of disease, science education, and activities that foster equity in the co-creation of open knowledge. Dr. Goller is passionate about integrating technology into teaching methods and expanding their knowledge of teaching and learning scholarship. With students' creativity and new accessible technologies, Dr. Goller and scholars are able to learn and develop transformative teaching experiences together.
