In this uplifting talk recorded in 2020, Jamal Moss shares his experience as an undergraduate student and graduate of NC State. Throughout the discussion, he will drop some gems that he learned along his way as he navigated the world at the intersection of public health ethics and medicine. At this time (2023), Jamal Moss, M.D. has finished medical school and is a practicing resident physician in Pennsylvania.
Jamal Moss, M.D., was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He is the oldest of 4 brothers and one sister. From a young age, Dr. Moss has been interested in science and medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from NC State, and served as a clinical research director. He earned his M.D. Meharry Medical College (opens in new window) in Nashville, TN in May 2023 and is currently a Family Medicine Resident Physician in the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dr. Moss served as a member of the Racial Equity Task Force (opens in new window) created by the City of Durham for two years and as an a member of College of Sciences Alumni Advisory Board at NC State for over 6 years.
